Digital Imaging

Digital imaging is very common these days and can be seen in almost every aspect of life.  It was originally developed in the 1960s and now has evolved and developed so much that everyone is doing it.  Digital imaging can be approaches in 2 ways.

The first way is to create everything by oneself, i.e. someone takes a photo using a digital camera, uploads it onto a computer and then edits it and refines it themselves.  The other way is to use a photo that is already uploaded, perhaps by someone else and to turn it more digital i.e. using programs such as PhotoShop in order to enhance the image and quality.  These images are then either used online or are printed and shared manually.

Digital imaging is obviously used a lot for businesses and particularly within the marketing and advertising departments as that is indeed their whole purpose, to attract new customers.  The opportunity digital imaging provides really is something that businesses try and utilise as it allows for images to be far more engaging and intriguing than in the past and presents an opening to stand out ahead of competitors.

It is not just something that businesses use though, personal digital imaging is also very popular.  People will often make their own greetings cards as a way to make things cheaper and more personalised.  Smaller less formal organisations such as churches or weight loss groups will also use digital imaging in order to spread their message and spur each other on.  So it is clear that Digital imaging really is the way forward for everyone to get involved in.
